POLISH YOUR GEAR is an independent, Amsterdam-based brand founded by
Karolina Wójtowicz and Daan Lans.

The duo became friends during their studies at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute.
While working together on Karolina’s graduation collection (POLISH YOUR GEAR), they discovered a shared passion for construction, pattern-making and most importantly a similar way of thinking. Shortly after graduating they came together as a brand.

After thorough research and experimentation they discovered that the use of a lasercutter allows for more intricate designs, prints and shapes. Resulting in purchasing their own machine and using it as the main tool in their design process.

Having a laser in the atelier allows them to digitize their process, making it faster, more precise and sustainable. It gives them the ability to create customs according to customers’ wishes.

They challenge traditional perceptions of latex by creating pieces designed to be worn in everyday life. They believe that latex-wear isn’t at it’s full potential yet and are trying to stretch it’s current limits.

As perfectionists who value quality and attention to detail, they develop and produce all garments in-house to ensure a near-perfect product.
